The Encounter - Ainad

Okay, check one of my summer challenges off the list! (PS - Special thanks to everyone who replied to my "Challenge Me." entry x33 I shall be working to improve this summer *squishes*)

Quite a few people, actually, suggested I try something that glows... it didn't take me long to decide EXACTLY what I wanted to draw and make glow *points to piccie* That's exactly what I wanted. Though... Ainad's hand could stand to be a bit smaller xD (what was I thinking!?!?)

It took me about 10 layers, but I think I'm finally satisfied xD (five layers alone for just all the wings and tailfin x33) I tried to make some of the glow rebounding off of Ainad's face that would be effected by the light... so I TRIED light perspective!!! Be proud! x33 Also, the small Draik's design was only just finalized today as I was finishing this.... Aiiiiieee xD She's lived in my head forever and she (like Drev) has gone through COUNTLESS re-designs x33 *Star* for a very important character! *lurves her*

Who is the small Draik in the picture you ask? Well, I can't tell you that just yet. Someday or another, when I finally finish Ainad and Drev's stories, that will all be explained. But for now, you'll just have to live without knowing xD She's involved with Ainad somehow... since anyone who pays attention knows Ainad's never had a family - I wonder how she fits into the picture... hmmm... I'll give you a hint(s), though. She is one of three, she plays a harp, and I'm a Zeldaholic. I'm sure all of you smart LoZ players out there can figure out somewhat of what I'm up to xD

PS - Note for anyone interested... this is a scene of something that is yet-to-come in Ainad's life. No idea when it will actually happen, but it will. I just might make an RP out of it, but I'm not sure... It'll probably just be me rattling off forever about my Draiks' history and I don't want to accidentally bore anyone to death x33 But hooray for having one of the illustrations done a year before the actual story will be... xD
