Brown and Gold Tri-Delt Hat

My second completed hat that will be given as a present for Christmas!

This is for my sister (who doesn't have an account here, so it's okay that I upload it - LOL). It's our college colors with her sorority's logo on the front (Tri-Delta).

(It could also double as a Legend of Zelda hat <3)

This one was a learning experience... this was my first one with applique that covered the hat band too, so I thought I'd do the applique first but HELLO, then I can't sew the hat band on xD;; So it's a little junky looking behind the front part BUT it's still functional xD

Also tried braids for the tassels which I think look really cute (inspired me to make a Viking hat xD Wouldn't that be hilarious???) I thought about cutting and "Fraying" the ends of the braids - or should I just leave them as is?

Also, it looks kind of weird once we're wearing it (why I didn't upload any pics of me with it on this time)... the symbol goes kind of far up onto the head. And it looks like it's missing something on the top! So if I don't add ears to some of these - what should I do to make it not look so plain?? Or is plain good?

Anyways - there we go! I have one more idea to go for Christmas and then I can start on them for birthdays xD
